Counseling for woman social issues

Studies have shown that women are more likely to face some mental disorders like depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder when compared to men. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), depressive disorders account for 41.9% of the disability from neuropsychiatric disorders among women while they account for about 29.3% in men. The lifetime prevalence rate of violence against women ranges from 16% to 50% (World Health Organization), and at least one in five women suffers rape or attempted rape in their lifetime.

There are also many other subtler forms of sexism like the wage gap and limited professional opportunities for women. In addition to treating disorders like depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, I offer counselling with respect to societal issues many women face in their day-to-day lives.

La Noce Psychiatry is proud to offer specialized consultation for women’s issues. I care about all the issues women face, and I am glad to help my patients resolve issues ranging from those related to work, family, relationships to the more personal ones.

My untraditional approach to psychiatric care is what makes my practice stand apart. I collaborate with my patients to create plans that are fitted according to their specific needs. I treat my patients using “more than just a pill” by utilizing mindfulness, social rhythm therapy, wellness evaluations, life coaching, vitamin therapy, psychotherapy, and yoga based on the patient’s needs.
