Audrey La Noce DO, FAPA
Dr. La Noce is the Founder and CEO of Total Mental Wellness, a comprehensive psychiatric practice that is strongly centered on patient-driven and whole-person care. Total Mental Wellness is a female owned business, operated by three female psychiatrists and a female psychotherapist.
Dr. La Noce graduated Cum Laude with Honors from The University of Arizona with a bachelors degree in Human Physiology. She completed medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and then went on to complete her psychiatry residency training at University Hospital and Medical Center in Tarmac, Florida. She is board certified in adult psychiatry and neurology.
She has significant experience treating a wide range of psychiatric issues from general psychiatry, PTSD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, anxiety, eating disorders, sleep disorders, ADHD, OCD, and many other diagnoses.
Dr. La Noce has treated professional athletes, law enforcement personnel, fire fighters, teachers, executive professionals, therapist, physicians, and many others, wanting to optimize their treatment.
She is currently the President of the Broward Chapter of the Florida Psychiatric Society where she works to increase awareness of mental health issues and promotes advocacy for psychiatry at the state government level. She is also on the Board of Directors of the Broward County Medical Society, which allows her to collaborate with physicians across all specialties to work on achieving optimal clinical outcomes.
Holly Nicewicz, DO
Dr. Holly Nicewicz received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and graduated with Magna Cum Laude and Honors from Colorado State University. She obtained her medical degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Touro University Nevada and completed residency at Palm Beach Consortium for Graduate Medical Education in Tamarac, Florida. Dr Nicewicz is currently board-certified on the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
She has completed extensive research in the field of social psychology regarding implicit/explicit biases and cultural attitudes for her Honor's Thesis. She also received a publication in 2020 on the diagnosis and treatment of body dysmorphic disorder. She is an active member of the Amerian Psychiatric Association and the Florida Psychiatric Society, where she has presented a variety of research topics for the past several years during the annual conference.
Dr. Nicewicz specializes in a variety of psychiatric conditions and treatments including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, eating disorders, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, and insomnia.
She enjoys working with clients who are interested in enhancing their quality of life through a combination of medications and lifestyle modifications. She believes in the importance of incorporating compassion, kindness, empathy, and unconditional positive regard in the treatment of all of her clients. A strong rapport with a psychiatrist is essential to create a plan of care that is specific and personalized for each individual. That is why Dr. Nicewicz provides a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment for treatment. She uses a holistic approach to wellness and enables the patient to actively participate in their care.
Jane Kim, DO
Dr. Kim received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Southern California. She then went on to receive her Master's degree in Kinesiology – Sports Medicine & Injury. While in California, she taught high school science for several years before completing medical school at Midwestern University in Arizona. She completed her psychiatry residency in South Florida and served as chief resident in her final year of training.
Dr. Kim is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, American Medical Association, and the Florida Psychiatric Society. She has published an article in Athletic Therapy Today and has presented a variety of case studies at the annual Florida Psychiatric Society conference. She has a diverse background in treating mental illness in adults, senior citizens, and veterans and prefers to use a more conservative pharmacologic approach in addressing psychiatric and behavioral issues. Dr. Kim has a particular interest in treating patients with depression, anxiety, and OCD.
When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Kim enjoys watching the Los Angeles Dodgers, checking out new restaurants with her husband, and playing with her Chihuahua named Rusty.
Angelica Almazan, DO
Dr. Angelica Almazan received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of California, Santa Barbara. She earned a medical degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University, Iowa and is completing her Psychiatry residency in Tamarac, Florida.
Dr. Almazan utilizes a supportive and holistic approach to treatment, rooted in evidence-based medication management. She establishes a collaborative therapeutic alliance by ensuring all decision-making aligns with a patient’s personal values. She embraces diversity and inclusivity, having a special passion in serving the LGBTQ+ community.
She has experience in treating a wide array of conditions including anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related disorders, thought disorders, neurocognitive behavioral disorders and many others. The Latin origin of “Psychiatry” translates to “healing of the soul”. Dr. Almazan aspires to illuminate one’s unique and innate qualities in order to cultivate a path that leads to living the most authentic self.
She is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, American Osteopathic Association, and the Florida Psychiatric Society. She has delivered lectures for mental health providers and law enforcement on psychiatric diagnosing, crisis planning, chronic suicidality, inpatient psychiatric management, psychopharmacology, and mental health advocacy.
